About Me

As a landscape photographer, I have a passion for capturing the natural beauty in today's world for the purposes of preserving it for the future. Through photography I see first-hand that landscapes are constantly changing each and every day. Whether trekking through remote wilderness areas or simply exploring my own backyard, it creates a new sense of wonder and curiosity but also recognizes the importance of documenting as every landscape has a story to tell.

Most captivating to me as a photographer are those stories told by glaciers. Glaciers allow you to see the impact of these changes in real-time, which for photography makes for a very intimate and personal experience as each moment captured is truly unique. Glaciers calve, they retreat and advance but it’s the pace at which they do which is most impactful and why their story is so important.

My most memorable moment as a landscape photographer was in 2017 at the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia. On the terminus of the glacier there was a natural arch which was approximately 230ft high, 50ft wide and 65ft thick. This arch was one of the most impressive ice formations that I had seen and I took my time capturing this moment. Three months later the arch collapsed and drastically changed the landscape forever. With photography I'm able to share this story and can document what that glacier looked like at a different time.

But it’s not just glaciers that change. It’s also mountains, canyons, deserts, forests, caves, volcanoes and coastal environments.

Through my photography, I hope to inspire others to truly appreciate the natural world and to take steps to protect it for future generations. Go explore and see what it's all about but remember to leave no trace.
